Marianne Thijssen appointed Managing Director Van Ameyde Benelux

Marianne Thijssen will be appointed Managing Director of Van Ameyde Benelux on 1 September 2018. She succeeds Bob de Bruijn, who has fulfilled this role since April 2016. In the coming months Bob de Bruijn will be preparing for his new role as a Member of the Board of Directors of Van Ameyde International as from 1 January 2019.

As Managing Director of Van Ameyde Benelux, Marianne will be responsible for Van Ameyde’s operations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. This includes the outsourced claims departments of various insurers and insurance brokers. Van Ameyde Benelux employs some 300 staff.

Growth in personal injury and underwriting

“It is my ambition to continue the growth path that Van Ameyde Benelux is on,” says Marianne Thijssen. “Extending our service offering from claims management to services in the area of underwriting and fortifying our personal injury proposition are growth spearheads. In addition, greater urgency will be given to improving customer experience and efficiency by means of innovative solutions.”

Marianne Thijssen’s experience and education

In the past 19 years, Marianne fulfilled various management roles at NN Group, including Nationale-Nederlanden and NN Investment Partners. Her latest position was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at NN Belgium in Brussels. In this role she was responsible for customer services and operational departments of both the Life and Non-Life business. Earlier, Marianne worked at Accenture. She read Organisational Sciences (Beleids- en Organisatiewetenschappen) at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

Appointment Bob de Bruijn

Marianne Thijssen succeeds Bob de Bruijn. He joins Van Ameyde International, the holding of the Van Ameyde Group, on 1 September 2018.

Bob de Bruijn joins Van Ameyde's Board of Directors on 1 January 2019

In the coming months Bob de Bruijn will prepare for his appointment as a Member of the Board of Directors as from 1 January 2019. He succeeds Pieter den Dikken and his responsibilities will include the strategy and operations of the Complex and Commercial Losses division. This division comprises Van Ameyde Marine, Arntz | van Helden, MLC Spain, Krogius and Woodgate & Clark. Pieter den Dikken will stay on to support Van Ameyde in the capacity of advisor.
