Piet Middelkoop

Chief Executive Officer | Chairman of the Board

Piet Middelkoop serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Van Ameyde. Since 2006, he has been instrumental in steering the company’s growth through a robust IT-driven strategy. Piet initially joined Van Ameyde in 2005 as a Board Member and Managing Director of Van Ameyde UK. With a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Leiden, Piet brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as Managing Director and co-founder of KPMG FlexSourcing, Senior Manager at KPMG Management Services, and Sector Manager for Healthcare & Social Welfare at Cadans. His current responsibilities include overseeing Business Development Strategy, IT Strategy Development, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Since 2014, Piet has also served as a non-executive Director of a mutual insurance company.

Jan-Michiel Cillessen

Chief Operating Officer | Board Member

As Chief Operating Officer, Jan-Michiel Cillessen spearheads all operational facets at Van Ameyde, with a strong focus on optimizing claims management. Proactively addressing Van Ameyde’s growth, diversification, and market demands, he prioritizes operational agility through meticulous operations management. Jan-Michiel Cillessen drives the implementation of large-scale international contracts for insurers and risk managers, alongside coordinating intricate IT initiatives. His background includes training in Information Management & Technology at Tilburg University, with additional expertise in Supply Chain Management from IMD and Finance from INSEAD. Previously, he held pivotal roles such as Managing Director of Property & Casualty SME and Director of Customer Services Non-Life at Nationale-Nederlanden, complemented by supervisory positions.

Bob de Bruijn

Chief Financial Officer | Board Member

Bob de Bruijn was appointed to the Board of Directors on January 1, 2019. In this role, he oversees the (complex and commercial) Loss Adjusting Division, focusing on strategy and operations. This division provides a comprehensive service to commercial clients and their insurers in the areas of marine cargo, hull and machinery, commercial property, liability, CAR, as well as electronics and computers. In June 2020, he took on the role of Chief Financial Officer. Bob joined Van Ameyde International on September 1, 2018, as a Director, having previously served as Regional Managing Director for the Benelux, where he successfully implemented a growth strategy and expanded the region’s service offerings. He began his career at Van Ameyde in 2009 as an international project manager, successfully completing various complex cross-border projects. He later became Business Development Manager in 2011 and subsequently Business Development Director for the Van Ameyde Group. Under his leadership, the Business Development department experienced significant growth and secured a substantial number of pan-European contracts. Bob holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has completed a postgraduate program at Fontainebleau.

Alexander Dietrich

Managing Director Central Region

Alexander Dietrich joined Van Ameyde in 2014 and has over 20 years of experience in the service industry. He is the chairman of the board and managing director of all German Van Ameyde companies and, in his role as Managing Director Central Region, is also responsible for Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and Croatia. Alexander Dietrich studied business education and graduated with a diploma. After graduating, he started as a management trainee at a US company in the automotive industry, where he held several management positions in operations and sales for over five years. In 2007, he switched to the claims management sector and was responsible for the operational management of Germany, Austria and Switzerland for a large international claims controller and manager for five years.

Piotr Zareba

Head of Operations Poland

Piotr Zareba started at Van Ameyde Poland in 2017, initially as Office Manager and later also as Finance Manager. After two years, he became Operations Manager / Site Manager in 2019, managing a well-coordinated team of experienced claims handlers and admin colleagues and being responsible for the majority of day-to-day business in Poland. Piotr studied psychology and philosophy in Warsaw, followed by periods at the universities of Maastricht and Antwerp, before studying business administration at the Warsaw School of Economics. After a career with various financial and banking institutions in Poland and abroad, he now uses his knowledge and experience to constantly develop Van Ameyde Poland.
