Expanding into the UK Property & Casualty market... On 1 September 2015 Van Ameyde acquired Woodgate & Clark Limited, headquartered in Kent, the United Kingdom. Woodgate & Clark is a leading independent provider of loss adjusting and claims management services for the UK Property and Casualty Insurance market. The company won the prestigious Loss Adjuster of the Year Award in 2012. The acquisition provides Van Ameyde, market leader in international motor claims management, with a strong foothold in this market and enables Van Ameyde to widen its service offering to its clients in the UK.
Woodgate & Cark’s former joint owners Michael Woodgate and Richard Clark will continue their roles as Executive Directors. The Board has been strengthened by non-executive Directors Piet Middelkoop, CEO of Van Ameyde, and Pieter den Dikken, Board Member of Van Ameyde. Woodgate & Clark employs over 130 staff. To fully benefit from Woodgate and Clark’s strong market position, the company’s structure and name will be maintained and there will be no redundancies. The acquisition will not affect the company’s services to its customers. All offices will remain unchanged and Woodgate and Clark Limited will continue to provide exactly the same services to its clients throughout Great Britain.

Van Ameyde is strengthening its non-motor activities, aiming for European market coverage in all lines. In this scope, Woodgate & Clark helps Van Ameyde expand its growing Property and Casualty loss adjusting activities by covering the entire UK market. The acquisition of Woodgate and Clark is the final in a series of three acquisitions made by Van Ameyde in August and September 2015, next to the Lars Krogius group of companies in Finland and Korevaar van Dijk in the Netherlands.

Through these acquisitions Van Ameyde has expanded its network to the Baltics, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia and has enhanced its service portfolio in the UK, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. As a result of the acquisitions, Van Ameyde now employs over 1,400 staff in 28 European countries.
