The Van Ameyde Group and Interschaden GmbH (Stuttgart, Germany) have combined their German business. To this end, a mutual holding has been incorporated: Interschaden Van Ameyde AG. Van Ameyde Germany AG, Interschaden GmbH and their subsidiaries are part of the new holding.

The contract was signed in Stuttgart on 8 December 2009. Mr Pieter den Dikken and Mr Carl Berends signed as Members of the Van Ameyde Group’s Board of Directors. Mr Georg Schüßler and Mr Dietmar Holzer signed as Partners of Interschaden GmbH.

Mr Schüßler is Chairman of the new holding’s Board of Directors, and Mr Wilhelm Winter has been appointed Board Member. Mr Holzer, having reached pensionable age, will retire from Interschaden GmbH.

Combined, the operating companies Interschaden GmbH of Nürtingen, near Stuttgart, and Van Ameyde Germany AG of Cologne employ some 90 staff. Both companies continue to operate from their present locations. The merger will not result in job losses.

The business activities of Van Ameyde Germany and Interschaden are complementary. The new structure strengthens both cross border claims management – Van Ameyde Germany’s core business – and the domestic (German) market position – where Interschaden is a key player. Growth in both the international and domestic markets is a mutual strategic goal of the merger partners.
